Speaker: Tavis Lynch, mushroom farmer and commercial mushroom forager
Tavis will discuss local mushrooms and their seasons, along with the specific trees that these mushrooms share.
Learn to identify 100 local edibles and about 300 local toxic species, and learn a few hard and fast rules.
Tavis will lead a hike through the woods on the Thursday after the evening presentation to point out how to identify local fungi/mushrooms on Madeline Island. The place and time for the hike will be announced at the lecture.
