Join us as we explore and hike the rustic trails of Madeline Island. MIWP members will guide all the hikes. The hikes will wander through old Hemlock stands, old Lake Superior shorelines and hopefully an abundance of wild mushrooms. Trail route will vary pending trail conditions—hike may be an out/back or shore‐to‐shore route. Note these trails are rustic; good hiking boots and an adventuresome spirit are required.
Welcome all hearty hikers! Keith Sowl will guide this hike on the North End MIWP trails. This hike will start at 9AM at the Sowl Trail entrance. Please see our North End trail map for the trail head location. This hike is not for the faint of heart and is a no-go for tennis shoes! Be prepared for rough and wet trails. The hike will meander thru MIWP trails and end up at Buffalo Lodge, approximately 4-5 miles. For further information, contact: Keith Sowl at fksowl@gmail.com.
