Guided Fall Hike on North End Trails
Followed by annual Potluck Lunch (location TBA)
Free and Open to the Public
Join us as we explore the beautiful fall season on the North End Trails of Madeline Island. The hike will wander through ancient Hemlock stands, perhaps old Lake Superior shorelines, and hopefully will encounter an abundance of wild mushrooms, migrating birds and autumn color. Trail route will vary pending trail conditions — hike may be an out/back or shore-to-shore route.
Note these trails are rustic; good hiking boots and an adventuresome spirit are required. Depending on weather, trails can be wet in spots so waterproof footwear recommended.
LOCATION:
NE Trail Hike will meet at the Burrough’s Trailhead
2.5 miles north of Benjamin Blvd at 3060 North Shore Road
TIME:
9:00–11:00am, possibly until 12:00pm depending on chosen route.
Annual Fall Potluck Picnic following the hike. All are welcome, even if you don’t join the hike!
