Gary Russell lives on Madeline Island and is one of the owners of the Madeline Island Ferry Line. He comes from a family with a deep and colorful history on Madeline Island, and can share a wealth of stories about Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands area.

 
Bob Nelson at Bayfield Heritage Assn.png

Bob Nelson, board member of the Bayfield Heritage Association Inc., is a local / regional historian with several published books about the Bayfield and Apostle Islands area. He comes from a commercial fishing family, is retired from the DNR, and considers himself a life-long Rocky Islander.
