In 1998 on Madeline Island, former pastor Marina Lachecki received a teaching about plants from Jean Reddemann. They were both on staff at a Breast Cancer Retreat.
For the next twenty years, Marina worked with the teaching with participants in an annual lecture and nature hike.
The teaching was simple: if every person learned seven plants, their life cycles and stories, their uses and medicine, then the knowledge of their gifts to us would be retained in the world.
Marina, a writer and environmental educator, all her life, will share the teaching, stories about her seven plants, and involve her audience in finding their seven plants.
